Signal & Soul – Choices is built and maintained by a small, independent team. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what we do — and don't do — with it.
What we collect
If you subscribe for updates: your email address, plus anything you choose to add afterward — ZIP code, preferred language, and topics you're interested in. All optional except email.
If you send feedback or report an issue: your message, the category you selected, and your email address only if you choose to provide one, used solely to follow up with you.
Standard technical logs: our hosting and database providers (Cloudflare and Supabase) automatically record basic technical data, like IP address, as part of normal server operation. This is infrastructure-level logging — we don't review it or use it to build a profile of visitors.
What we don't collect
No cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers of any kind. No accounts or passwords. No payment information — there's nothing to buy here. We never sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers.
How we use it
- Email — to send the updates you signed up for, matching your stated interests, nothing else.
- ZIP code and interests — to help us surface trials and events most relevant to you.
- Feedback messages — read by our team to fix problems and improve the site.
Who has access
Your information is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase, and the site itself runs on Cloudflare. We don't share it with anyone else. Each provider's own policy covers how they handle data on our behalf: Supabase's privacy policy, Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Honestly: we keep subscriber and feedback records until you ask us to delete them — we don't yet have an automatic deletion schedule. You can unsubscribe at any time using the confirmation link from when you signed up, and it takes effect immediately.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime — via your confirmation link, or by contacting us directly.
- Update your preferences — change your ZIP code, language, or interests yourself, anytime.
- Request deletion — email us and we'll remove your subscriber or feedback record within 45 days.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle your information changes, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
