Don't make people wait for you, especially if you have agreed time/schedule.

I used to sit in the early mornings of the hour as my father drank his morning coffee and prepared to go to work. I would work with him on weekends. Of course, at 13 I was all about more sleep especially on Saturday mornings. He would always tell me, "Let's go sleepy head, it's not good to make people wait on you". This simple saying stuck with me my entire life, even to this day. Quite honestly, I attribute much of my corporate success to this simple breakfast table transgenerational whisper.
